Nominations now open: MND Australia Excellence Awards
Published: 17 July 2026
Every day, extraordinary people are making a difference in the lives of Australians affected by motor neurone disease.
Whether they're providing exceptional care, volunteering their time, advancing allied health practice or driving world-class research, these individuals help strengthen the MND community and bring us closer to a world free of MND.
The MND Australia Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate these outstanding contributions.
We invite nominations for the following award categories:
- MND Care & Support Excellence Award – recognising outstanding employees of State MND Associations.
- MND Volunteer of the Year – celebrating volunteers who have made an exceptional contribution to the MND community.
- MND Allied Health Professional Award – recognising allied health professionals delivering outstanding care and improving quality of life for people living with MND.
- MND Early Career Researcher of the Year – recognising emerging Australian researchers who are demonstrating excellence, innovation and a commitment to research that improves the lives of people affected by MND.
If you know someone who has gone above and beyond for people living with MND, now is the time to recognise their contribution.
Nominations are welcomed from colleagues, peers and members of the MND community.
Applications close at 5.00 pm (AEST), Friday 14 August.
The awards will be presented at the MND Gala Dinner on Wednesday 10 September.
