The Daniel McLoone Major Research Initiative aims to support an outstanding innovative and collaborative project that has the capacity to make a significant impact on Australian MND research.

The grant will be for up to a total of $1M for a 4-year project. The proposed project should support collaboration across the Australian MND research community, it is a requirement that significant contributions are made by researchers outside of the host institution. 

The Daniel McLoone Major Research Initiative has been made possible by an incredibly generous bequest by Daniel McLoone’s family from his estate following his death. This award is offered in addition to the Daniel McLoone MND Research Prize.
